Merritt Tracy is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, a Trained Hormone Coach, and a Registered Yoga Teacher. She is also a Certified International Health Coach. Her health coaching practice focuses on weight loss, hormone balancing, and cancer prevention and recovery. Having graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2012, Merritt has been a practicing health coach for many years. She works with the Center for the Healing Arts and other healthcare practices to provide a variety of individual and group health coaching programs. Merritt was inspired to become a Health Coach by her own desire to prevent cancer. With a family history of breast, ovarian, and uterine cancers, her biggest passion is cancer prevention and recovery. Seeing the correlation between hormones and cancer, she also worked with Dr. Sara Gottfried, a Harvard Medical Doctor, to become a Trained Hormone Coach. Knowing that weight loss is also important to reducing the risk of cancer, Merritt has created a unique focus on these specialized areas – weight loss, hormone balancing, and cancer prevention and recovery – to help clients reach their goals in these key areas of health and wellness.

With a prior corporate career, Merritt has 20 years of experience managing people, projects, and businesses. This experience adds value to her skills as a Health Coach, giving her an edge in providing educational seminars, group programs, and individual coaching that are structured and backed by research. Having worked in the fast-paced and stressful high-tech industry, Merritt also understands the need for corporate wellness and enjoys working with companies to create wellness solutions for their employees. Merritt received her 200-hour yoga teacher training from Yoga One Wellness in Charlotte in 2009. After completing this training, she went on to intern with Presbyterian Hospital where she was taught therapeutic yoga techniques for cancer patients. She also completed Yoga for Cancer training with Tari Prinster. Merritt now has over 6 years of experience teaching yoga for cancer patients. Merritt enjoys yoga, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with her two children. She is active in the community where she teaches yoga and nutrition workshops for cancer survivors and leads community gardening efforts.
